should fit your car...it has a reverse lockout so it is definitely not an SVT STS.

The only thing I can think of, is maybe your car needs the pre-2002.5 shifter and that one is a post-2002.5 shifter, or vice versa. They changed the design about halfway through 2002 on the MTX75 cars, and the shifters are not interchangable

I think your right. I'm not sure what shifter and cables I have. But it may be worth finding a set at the junk yard to put this to use.

You should have no problem finding a STS for a pre 02.5 shifter. I had a helluva time trying to find one for my car, and eventually gave up. Also, that one you posted looks like a cheap ebay special.

Nah, i'm good. I ended up chopping the shifter on my car, and it works good enough for me. I do think the one you posted is the Pre-02.5 style though.

I ricer chopped mine too. Plus I never re threaded it either. I put an evan zone shifter on there. Its pretty nice accutally.

Finally got off my ass and did some work today. I had to mess with the wagon a little first. Its got an oil leak that I'm trying to find. I decided to dive into the engine bay today and start the tear down. I got the rad support removed, battery/box, and the intake. I also primed my strut bars, Mister Johnson's front bumper, and cleared the gold sway bar.

So I need some help from you guys. The bracket that connects from the upper tranny mount to the fender, should I cut the parts that go to the fender? Any tips on shaving filling the rad support?

I'd have to go look at my car, I can't picture the metal that goes from the mount to the fender before expressing an opinion on that.

For the rad support, I would PM someone who has done it because I have absolutely no idea what to do.

And I'm striking out here...I don't know of anyone getting rid of a stock cat. Sorry Chris

Do they unbolt or do you have to cut them? I didn't get to check out under my hood this morning, left the house at 6:30AM for class and it's been raining since last night. Fuck FL.


I would offer a deal so I could get an ORP and you get my cat, but with 190k on it I doubt you want it. It still works great as far as I can tell, but it's got some miles on it. Mostly highway cruising

It unbolts but the its attached to the engine mount so I think it would need to be cut. I can completely remove is by un bolting but then the factory air box would have no where to mount.

Only using the factory airbox for inspection. Other than that I run my CAI. I was just trying to avoid having more stuff to put on and off for inspection.

So for those of you who have always wanted to know how to shave a rad support here it is. If you can do this the rest is cake.

1. open hole



2. underside of said open hole



3. scrap plastic cut to fit and cover said open hole



4. plastic welded scrap to plastic of rad support



5. topside after plastic being welded in



6. topside rad plastic welded to plastic plug



7. JB weld



All holes filled up.
