I wouldn't want anything engine fluid wise running inside the car. If a line goes bad, it'll be all over the interior. Just my .02

The duratec PS pump has the bottle on it right? I'm not sure if it would bolt up to a zetec or not.
Putting the tank behind the dash isn't my first choice, but then again your heater core is there already. I really like the idea of deleting it all together. I don't drive my car all that much. So its no biggie to drain the overflow and top her back off.

Re: NorCal's I hope I can go to FR11 and meet some cool turtles build thread
So I got started yesterday and really dug into the car.
First up, my battery relocation box. I sanded and ground all the surface rust off then primed and painted it.
My primer of choice. Its 2 part epoxy primer in a spray can.
Didn't get any pics of it painted today. I'll grab some later this week.
Next I finished up the shaving on my SVT bumper. All I have left to do now is a few layers of filler then prime and paint.
Donor bumper.
Cut a piece of plastic out to replace the turn lens. I cut a really big piece incase I effed up.
Used my side marker lenses and traced them onto the cut piece and fitted them into the hole.
Backside I cut out the screw holes.
Then the front plastic welded.
And the backside. On the back I used a torch to melt the plastic, then smoothed it with my plastic welder.
Today I tore the front end apart so I could do my battery relocation and try and relocate the overflow tank and PS bottle.
Nevermind the amp wire hanging there. I ran it that way only to make the amp worked. I will be going through the fire wall with it.
Not a lot of room to fit the PS and coolant tanks. I'll figure it out tho.
Now here's what I think I've come up with for the PS. Please give me your input.
Mount bottle here in the wiper cowl.
I'm thinking I can cut a hole in the bottom of the cowl and have the bottle drop out here.
Then all I would have to do is get longer hoses. I like this location because it would still be somewhat easy to fill up the bottle if I need to.

Thanks guys! This year is bigger and better.
Got some plastic glazing putty today and put my first coat of filler on. Really should be using more of a filler than a glazing putty. But I spent only $50 on this bumper, I'm not going to dump $150 on fillers to fix it.

I promise one of these days I will get you that part/setup. But for now you should be happy to know that it is holding up fantastically **KNOCK ON WOOD**
Unlike the rest of my car, which has decided to catastrophically break every time I think the fucking piece of shit is finally done being broken for a while.

Re: NorCal's I hope I can go to FR11 and meet some cool turtles build thread
I feel I need to update so no one thinks I've been slacking. Not a huge update but hey.
I mounted the SVT bumper put my first layer of filler on.
Passenger Side
Drivers Side
Then I pulled it off and stood it up to get the shave areas level. This is my second layer of filler.
I got a third on now and its filled up and just needs to be sanded. After that I got to flip it over and do the other side. I'm going to try and work on it every night this week.
I also got the hardware for the battery box this weekend and started installing it. I got two holes drilled, then started the third and the bit isn't cutting, FML. So I'll pick up a new bit tomorrow and get that finished.
Still researching on the coolant tank delete and hope to get something rolling on that soon.

Made some more progress today. Got the bumper filled and sanded, now she's ready for primer.
Then I got the battery box installed. I'm going to put some spacers on it this weekend, then I'll start re-routing my wires. I really love where this thing sits.

Re: NorCal's I hope I can go to FR11 and meet some cool turtles build thread
Here's the strap I made for the battery box. It's not super tight but the battery ain't going nowhere.
Then with the awesome weather I thought it be a good idea to prime the bumper.
Super happy with how it turned out. It looks so good shaved. Ford should have done em this way from the factory.
Rolled the car out to do work and snapped a few pics. I should be getting my other two wheels back from my buddy this week. The blue does look good on the white, so it's going to stay for a while.
And the new found coils. I'm going to get the rears in tomorrow for sure. The fronts soon. They're Koni Yellows with F2 sleeves.

Thanks Alex. Hey will Focus springs/struts work on your mazda? I got lows for you if they do.
I got a rare Ford Accessory rear lip. I traded Hale the F2 sway bar I got with the coils for it. Really cleans up the rear bumper a ton. It needs to be painted and will be along with the front bumper.
Other updates from today, got the rear F2 coils in. They didn't go as low as I hopped. But they're much stiffer, which is great for lows. I can get them low with just a little work. I'm going to make a call to Omni Speed about stuff and things for them. First, I got to get the fronts installed and see where they sit. Also did some playing with my intake and figured out that the upper half with the cone on it works just fine. So Thats how I'll run it. I'm going to strip the paint and redo it tho.

Re: NorCal's I hope I can go to FR11 and meet some cool turtles build thread
So I got the battery cables ran and hooked up. I was able to get power to the whole car so that means I didn't screw anything up.
I used an old positive cable from one of the swaps I've done to make the extension. Then I simply moved the negative cable and ground it on other places. The short end you can see in this picture, the long end I ran to a bolt on the transmission.
Later this week, I'm going to pick up some cable tie downs and pull the cable back out of the way.
Lastly heres the breaker in the engine bay. This worked out super well because one I had to make a junction in this spot anyways, and two I'll be able to cut power to the car if I need to. The battery is not in a easy place to get too.

Re: NorCal's I hope I can go to FR11 and meet some cool turtles build thread
I took off work a few hours early and got to work on my car. I re did the main ground from the negative post and got a much cleaner result. Next I tucked the positive battery cable back to the inner fender, got the power wire for my amp run through the fire wall and all loomed up.
Had some Pho for dinner
Went back tonight and pulled apart some of the factory harness to re-run wires and clean them up. Tomorrow, I'll wrap up the wires. Also found out the factory PS lines are a PITA. They're in such a horrible spot going over the transmission.

Re: NorCal's I hope I can go to FR11 and meet some cool turtles build thread
So didn't much as much done as I wanted to with my car, but I got her running again. Fired right up on the first shot. Which is good to know all my wiring is solid. There's a G2G next weekend so I'm going to try and have her running to take her.
In other news I did a transmission swap in the wagon today. Took about 6 hours to knock out. I got one issue tho, I think I have to swap the shifter. The positions of the trans don't line up with the positions of the shifter in the car. Got it figured out to where I can drive fine for now.

I still need to do the following, paint bumper, prep and paint rear lip, get header wrap and wrap the header, install fog turns (may happen tomorrow), cut fenders and install the euro markers, work on the trunk, fiberglass and install SVT center console, FIGURE OUT MOAR LOW.
