whent hey stayed there during spring break....$200 a night. But spilt 4+ ways, its fairly resonable.....AAAANNNNDDDD location, location, location!

Idc about location.... I drive an explorer so i dont need to be in the pics... Just in walking distance.... And if i can't get some to share a room with im going to have to drive out there for two days fro ocala... And i dont think my girlfriend will have a job by then to help with the cost.

Josh #2. There will be plenty of people to share a room. We had 3 rooms last time and 13 people stay all weekend. And we don't really have to be at the boardwalk in. In reality that was far away from all the stuff to do and places to eat. I'd say the Myan or whatever it was we stayed at was a little closer to the fun.

I'm actually not sure 100% either way if I will make it or not.

Mr. Holmes knows why, and it is a valid reason. I am pllaning on coming down, at least for one day, but it is all up in the air to be honest.

To everyone who said they could make it:
Please post what day or days you will be there, staying the weekend or noty and if you're bringing anyone. This will help us figure who's rooming with who.

I will be down there Friday. I might or might not bring my girlfriend, it's up to her whether she comes or not, but it doesn't make a difference to the rooming plans as I have a bed in DJ's room either way.

And whether my girlfriend comes or not, I'm not going to any strip clubs. You guys can go have fun, that's not my thing.

I just called the Boardwalk Inn & Suites.....checking in on July 30th and checking out Aug 1st I got:

$101 per night for oceanfront
$81 per night for non-oceanfront

Rooms have 2 double beds, a microwave, and a fridge

Im not going to any strip club either... So we'll go to a bar is that ok with you Josh? And if my girlfriend comes we wont have to walk back to the hotel drunk lol


James if i can get someone or someones to share a room with i can do friday and saturday night. 1 or 2 ppl will work obviously I'll be paying for my girlfriends half so i can account for 100 (yes i know theres taxes) bucks so that means one day if i get my own room, or two if someone splits it with me..

i am with josh i i dont mind going to a bar..i wont be doing anything crazy since i am married and my wife would kill me...i plan to met up with the jax crew and drive down on friday...i am puting my request in at work tomorrow...if they wont give me that days off then i will have to leave after work on friday and drive till like midnight or later...i will make this work some how though

i'll probably drive up friday night, may just drive home saturday evening though, unsure still. But i don't know what my work travel plans look like for the end of July.

Count me in for 1 night, maybe two. I'll share a room with whoever or get my own if everything is full up.

Rob, I've put a lot of thought in to things and this could be a big site. Most people that go to all events live in the east somewhere with the majority in the lower south east. After the site gets bigger we're gonna have to get some people together and see where we can go with things. I think we have a good core group right now. I think the site could expand out beyond florida too. I dunno, but I think we got something good going here. FocusFest seems to be un heard of this year and I read today that Focus On The Beach is limited to 80 cars. I think summer next year we should be pretty comfortable and have a good name. But this Daytona meet will hopefully set us apart. As far as SVTOA, I don't know if they're gonna wanna get involved with us. But any outlet is a good one.

On a side note: I spoke with Josh today, we will have stickers and banners for the meet.

Armanduhx3, yes banners. Like a real banner to hang. We're gonna do 3. 1 for Josh to have for you area, 1 for me in Tampa and 1 for Rob down South. I really wanna find someone a person from the panhadle too. We're gonna do some serious things.

Me and Mary will be coming down friday and leaving sunday night. So put us down for two nights.

As for the hotel, i'm probably gonna look into the Boardwalk again. The Myan you "other" people stayed at last time has a very steep entrance and is a no go for me, lol.

Word on the streets is that there is no FocusFest this year. At all.

i think i may just drive back and forth from ocala. unless someone else can share a room and use their credit card... cause capital one pissed me off and i canceled the card last night.... fail on my part cause i forgot about this from being so pissed.. If anyone has a room with an extra bed LMK how much
