You need to get your Glorious Bitchy Judge under control before it's your nuts off and feeds them to the squirrels

if it gives me much more problems, I'm buying a VW and parting the bitch out.

Not necessarily. The old cars are simple, and I would buy an old one

Re: The build of SVT #3658
Wouldn't the bearing be under warranty? It shouldn't be that old.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
It probably is, but if it failed that quickly I'm not putting another one of those (advance auto parts) in my car.
The axle boot is torn, not flinging grease yet though.
I'm going back outside right now to raise it

No just buy good age bearings if they go out.

No, just don't buy parts from Advance Auto and you'll be fine.glowin3232 wrote:Hmm, maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't go as low as you.
The bearing didn't even last 9 months, and the axle has been in for 3 months max. It's just shitty parts.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
It's too bad the drive shaft shop doesn't make focus axles. I've heard maps parts aren't bad.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
And I have the worst luck in the world when it comes to power steering lines...I put a stock one back on (due to deal worked out a while ago) and the fitting blew out on me. Ughhh. Fuck Ford's engineers, I could have designed this thing better when I was in high school.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
-ORP and flex should be here monday or tuesday.
-New tires (Falken 512 205/40) will be here tuesday.
-Wheels are still being worked out.
-New valve cover gasket, PCV valve, and o2 sensor are in my garage waiting to be installed.
-Burgundy valve cover will be installed with new gasket.
-Need to pick a color for the new wheels. I'm thinking silver, I want something bright. I don't have the time to polish
-Depo MACHs are 99% gonna not be used, so I kinda need to sell them.
-I need to grind/cut out my stock toe links and install my adjustable ones. I ruined two 60k mile tires in 15k miles....I can't keep doing that
-Need a real alignment
-And while doing all this, I need to somehow manage to get as many As as possible this semester
I'm sure there's more that I'm forgetting....

lol, will do. Hopefully it won't be too bad, I added a huge magnaflow round muffler to my Borla (28 inch I think it was?) so hopefully that helps.trailbikerider wrote:Let me know how unbearably loud your car is with the ORP. I need to know what to expect.

Fucking FedEx, the wheels were scheduled to be delivered today when I checked the tracking before I left for school this morning. I just got home from work/school and there were no boxes waiting for me...checked the tracking again and now it says they'll be here tomorrow

Why do people who fix wheels for a living tell you some simple curb damage is not fixable? Probably because I drove up in a Focus and they assume I'm not willing to pay.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
Rob and I spent the better part of 12 hours on my car yesterday.
It involved lots of Rob's grinder expertise. We installed my Dominant Eng toe arms, and my Dominant Eng ORP/2.5" flex combo. Also threw in a new o2 sensor.
The car is running better than ever now that the 219k mile cat is gone and a working front o2 sensor is in. I can't thank Rob enough!!!!
