Re: The build of SVT #3658
Don't like the chrome, that's why I got rid of it on my car. Looks decent on yours, but then again, I don't like it lol.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
Keeping this thread updated....
For the past week or so, I have been driving around on stock fat 6 spokes with bald tires. I had taken the tires off of my 5 spokes, had them straightened, and had them powdercoated.
The color choice was kind of tough. I was tossing around ideas.....black, gold, silver, burgundy, and even some crazy off the wall colors.
I wanted them to look like properly finished wheels for once (the finish was pretty bad when I bought them, someone had gotten brake fluid on them, and since then I just kept spraybombing them). I wanted to do a crazy color, but I kept thinking about resale value. It would be hard to resell them if I ever wanted to if they were some bright color...
I was at the powdercoating place, and was asking about colors. They had the standards, gold, silver, black. They had some off the wall bright colors, then I asked about burgundy....they actually had a ton in stock. Some guy had started a motorcycle business and burgundy was going to be his signature color. He paid for a LOT of burgundy powder, then went out of business so they have it sitting around. Perfect.
Then I asked about metallic, and he told me he has some special metallic stuff that the PC company made specifically for him for a customer in the past, and it was VERY high metallic. Excellent, here's my wheels, valve cover, and SRI
I got them back the other day, but haven't had a chance to get the tires put on them. Last night, magic happened
It is really tough to get the color and glitter to show up properly in pictures, so I tried taking them from a bunch of different angles and levels of sun These pictures don't even come close to capturing the HUGE amount of reflections from the metallic flake in the wheels
And as for the fender that says "WAHOO!" and "Massacre" on it.....I turned one time too many while tucking monster truck tires. A new one will be on soon.

If he bought it, he can call Adobe to re-download it. If he "acquired" it, it's pretty easy to get another copy from a torrent site.

I sure hope it is.
Hit a snag today, they refunded my money into my bank account and when I called they had no idea why it did that.
I'm about to say fuck it and put a stock suspension back on the car.

Euro bumper has been plastic welded from the back. I need to dremel out the crack from the front and fill it with bumper repair epoxy, sand it, prep it, and get it painted.

goddammit, I should have kept my Hella indicators and shaved them into the bumper. GODDAMMIT.

Re: The build of SVT #3658
Well, doesn't matter...I don't have them anymore
I have to buy supplies to route out the crack, fill it with body repair epoxy, sand it smooth, throw some flexible putty over it, sand some more, and re-smooth the shaved tow hook cover (it spider cracked like crazy in the accident the bumper had. Then it can get paint and go on the car
I was picking up the bumper today by all different areas and even flexing it in odd ways, it's pretty strong. I probably don't really need to use the bumper repair epoxy, could probably just finish it with the flexible mud stuff. But I want to make sure I don't have to re-do this
