Just a few shots
becuase I <3 rack!
This is the way the car will be for a while....starting as a Master's student in the fall and will be entirely too busy for much work on the car.
Special thanks goes out to the Army Corp of Engineers for the awesome levee I was on. City of Sunrise for their fountains. Bank Atlantic for the awesome parking lot I was in (Bank Atlantic Center, where the panthers play) And the Canon for the awesome Rebel XS and an 18-55mm lense.
Hope you enjoyed!

thanks bbbbbuuuuuuudddddyyyyy!
and i took about a .5 x.5" piece of the rail off to clear the bolts on the caliper. i got it to go on without notching it, but i feel better and it goes on easier. even drove a 70 with the bike on today!

Re: Just a few shots
going to advance tonight and picking up some rubber vac lines and fittings. Ram (the mechanic) swung by for a few min and looked at it. the fuel pressure sensor has no vac line hooked right now, so the sensor thinks its running WOT, dumping loads of fuel when it shouldnt be. i'll change the oil again after i get it running (incase fuel got past the rings)

they do for $29.99 in one of three fantastical colours! Then they wanted to charge me $10 for shipping. HAH! A $10 section of 2" hose from Bennett/Advance/Autozone and problem solved!

Sooooooooooooooooo i went and had my battery tested today after i started it up this morning and the battery light promptly came on. It did this saturday on my way home from alignment #2 this past week.
Battery was deamed bad. Not surprising, the PO bought it in 06!
Got home, installed the new Duralast Gold (3 yr replacement biotch!) and fired the car up. Battery light came back on within a few seconds. Sooooooooo, new alternator time -_-

Re: Just a few shots
I thought the backgrounds in those pics looked VERY familiar.
It's a shame those IMs don't really fasten securely... like with bolts, ya know? I vote for you to mount it longitudinally and slap some side draft Webers on there.
And now that you know the bike can go 70mph, we need to find you a big hill.

I like where your head it is at!
Now, for the big hill.....i want full body armor, new tires, LARGE brakes and full faced helmet. then we'll talk. But finding a hill that big in FL is gonna be hard....

Re: Just a few shots
I'm trying to find the thread on either FF or FJ that had some details on a build close to that... accidentally closed the link and forgot about it... I think it uses a Sierra drive train... oh... it was something about CF interior panels... Ok, looking that up when I get back home. Other than that car, I've only seen pictures of two others... all three are EU cars I believe.
Anyways, we can always build you a hill... or slap a quarter pipe against the side of a large building. Then we'll see if you can borrow "the bear suit".

so got the alt in. over 3 nights, ive spent about 3 hours doing the swap. its nice having several other cars i can drive :-) yay for beater mustang and dads bullitt to drive! God the Bullitt is aoo much fun. 3rd rapes.
And fuck the genius at ford who decided to PRESS the alt onto the support bracket....and it is possible to get it out of the top WITH a strut tower brace (steeda brand) Thanks josh for the tips and walk through!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all i needed to get it out was to remove that little round black thingy up on the firewall!
Anywho, just have to button it all up and run the new serp belt and then fire it up! Ill get to it this afternoon or tomorrow....there is soo much soccer going on im getting distracted!!!!

Hahahaha! I haven't even looked at wiring for the SVO because football has been distracting me too much.
So the alternator is pressed into the bracket? Not bolted? WTF? I think I'll just buy a new bracket if I have to change one of those.

Re: Just a few shots
Soooo my dad was cleaning up the garage and "hanging" my st200s up he flipped it over to run the rod through the lug hole, the center cap fell out -_-
fuck tires plus right now. they had my car twice a week and a half ago and the alignment still isnt great, but i need my car. And now the cracked the center cap.
Just sent an e-mail out to BAT Inc. hopefully they can come through with reasonably priced st200 center caps....

Re: Just a few shots
$15 a piece + tax and shipping from BAT Inc. Ordered 2, so $40 roughly to my door aint terrible. 3 weeks though :-/ they MIGHT get here in time for Daytona.
and Josh #2, how much are a set of locking lug nuts from ford (only need 4 nuts...hah!) with the tool? otherwise I'm going to crapzone and picking up a 4 pack there, where every other schmuck goes. They only have like 3 different locks to choose from, soooo chances are someone else has the same thing.

Re: Just a few shots
I just have a hex head nut on each wheel. It isn't super foolproof, but it kinda works I guess
I found out last week that EVERY set of gorilla nuts has the SAME "key" and you can buy "keys" from discout auto for 5 bucks....yep those seem like surefire wheel savers to me

Re: Just a few shots
My friend broke a gorilla key and I called discount tire and they guy said that all gorilla keys were identical. And to prove it I went up there without the key or any numbers off of it and just bought one....got back to my friend's car and guess what. It worked

Re: Just a few shots
Yeah, AFAIK Gorilla lugs are not marketed as "locking lug nuts" and are merely "tuner style" lug nuts that will fit in the narrow lug passageways of aftermarket or "tuner" wheels...
...so, I certainly wouldn't expect them to provide a lot of bona fide "security."
