FYI....I have enough money in the bank for 2 sets of H&R coilovers....or a set of bilstein PSS9s....or some KW Variant 3s.....or 2 sets of Konis.....but that's my emergency money and I'm not touching it for coils (edit: or 3 sets of K Sports, and maaaybe 4 sets of D2 coils). I mean, really? Some people don't want to have to constantly worry about where they go. I daily mine but it definitely gets old sometimes.

It's cool to be low, but...when it comes to beating on my car and throwing it around corners, I'd rather be at a streetable height than worry if theres a crown on the road thats going to rape my oil pan.

Yeah I really don't appreciate the scrolling banner, as a matter of fact I am getting sick of seeing half the posts you put up anymore 90% of it is just vulgar obscene crap.

And the Focus is one of the best handling cars around hands down.

Its not about this post and I know your joking its about things like the scrolling banner you put up here today thats highly offensive and imature joking around is great but it seems as everything I read you can hardly joke without being vulgar or obscene, I dare you be funny and be semi clean at the same time. Unfortunately, I don't really find myself laughing at most of what seems to get posted by some of the people on this site, even though it's apparent that they themselves seem to find tons of "humor" in their antics.

Fortunately, the drivel is still outweighed by stuff I actually have interest in reading, so I keep coming back.

I'll just remember to keep anything to myself that doesn't follow the "slam it and 'stance' it or it ain't worth showing it or talking about it on this site" attitude that seems to be running rampant these days (and not just on this site), and do my best to ignore the failed attempts at humor that embody the "random posts" of "funny things."

Pressure washer! naw just use some plastic degreaser, spray the stuff thats NOT electrical w a pressure washer and wipe the rest down by hand Smile

It won't be perfect but it looks pretty good for a 20-30 minute job.

Only problem is WD-40 will leave an oil base on there, any new dirt will stick to it and cake up like crazy.

WD40 does leave a oil resisdue behind, but not if you follow it with window cleaner. Should do the job, dirt is going to cake up anyway, But polish and seal it with a paint sealent or choice wax. You should slow down the process.

I spent like 10 minutes cleaning my engine bay a few weeks ago, I just sprayed it all down with a degreaser and let it sit for a few minutes then rinsed it al down with water in spray bottle. It didn't get it perfectly clean, but it got a lot of the built up dirt and grease off. I plan to do a full engine bay cleaning before Carlisle....

Just be VERY careful that you don't get your alternator wet. They do not like water for some strange reason, lol

WD40 ( cheapest way ) or Degreaser works. If you want a degreasing solution, Simply Green is the chemicals to use. It's little more pricer than other degreasers, but it works charms.

But do it with wits, and you'll have no problem. Common sense is, like Josh said, avoiding the alternator. I'd just get a couple plastic bags and wrong it. I don't know if focus' have distributor caps either, but i'd avoid/cover that as well.
