What Have You Done to Your Car Today?

I installed my new Focus Tuning Ebrake handle, and took my new seats out of the hatch Pictures follow:

I'm aware that the car is DISGUSTING, I haven't had time to clean it yet since picking it back up from HTP.

Ebrake handle after: Had to cut it, since ford presses them on and I couldnt pound it off.



Picked up some S2 seats for $50, I'm planning on reupholstering them, but I may wait...big cruise coming up in NH on May 16th (200-250 cars), and it's about 5 hours driving total...I could use the extra comfort


They have larger side bolsters that are a bit narrower (hold you in the seat better) and are also a little stiffer.


I also picked up a 2 gauge pillar pod for my wideband and...the other gauge I don't have yet? I'll prob by an oil pressure gauge soon, as the car will be revving over 8,000 rpms.

mk1 seats are that much better! and my interior is filthy too....hasn't been vacuumed since sept...

Whats everyone else done to their car? This is a regular thread on most of the forums I'm on- but since this is a Focus forum I actually AM interested to see the day to day workings on of your cars

didnt do anything today....but yesterday I washed the focus and polished the area where a chunk of rubber from a blow semi tire hit my hood. all but one deep scratch buffed out....finally removed the sap drip on the front bumper, installed my clear/chrome corners. also used some wheel cleaner one the engine bay and cleaned it a little bit. the grease on the VC from the timing belt swap didn't come off...need to get some degreaser.

AND i also bought and installed the ignition control module to replace the busted one on the 83 mustang gt. havent test driven it yet, but im hoping it'll rev above 4000 rpm now.

If the rain holds off today, I'll be doing some more datalogging for turbotom. Now doing WOT pulls to 6200...maybe 4-5 more til we get to redline and start adding timing...mmmmmmm!

I made the interior a little uglier today. Most of you guys have seen my headliner and door pulls already. Well I took them to the next level this morning.

Hehe, it isn't perfect but it'll do for now I guess. I am pulling my b pillars this weekend for some black paint. When I do that, I am also going to remove the headliner and take it to black instead of this fabric. As it is now, its toooooooo much.

That is so awesome, but I definitely see how it could be obnoxious

LAUNCHED IT! For the first time, evar. And was very satisfied.

I'm hoping to take it to the drag strip the wednesday night before Carlisle...at least I'll have track times even if I don't have dyno #'s.

it's such an awesome feeling.... specially if your sitting in a 800+ hp car with launch control set to 4200 rpm

I'm a little short in the power department there...like 600+

It felt good though, made the clutch do its job (slipped it so I didn't just spin tire), then hit second and third perfectly...Thats why I'm taking it to the track now, it was too much fun...and my car is WAY too loud to be doing that on the street.

you can never be too loud lol.

this is what 1000+ whp 35+ psi of boost will do to a digital camera at launch

No..just too loud to do it without being pulled over. My car is super loud, i just need to throw in another resonator to get rid of the little rasp thats left, and then I'll be happy. I love the looks I get when I go WOT next to someone.. :o

Especially in a tunnel or under a wide bridge...
