It's tucking 255/40R17 on 9" wheels in the rear, not that impressive, but fenders barely clear the tires as is

Despite the springs being removed and the car sitting on bump stops... I still wouldn't call it slammed. The tires were tucked and rubbing like a mofo. Hard to see, but comparison picture of the coupe at stock height and the 'vert with... just enough to have wheels on the car. While not being that low, a 20oz Gatorade bottle would not roll underneath it (lost that pic... the days of film).

You drove it with no springs installed?

Yea kinda, its got like a plastic kinda thing on the metal instead of just nothing. like the rear fender liner grabs over the edge of the fender. havent had a reason to roll yet so havent tried.

Yeah... About as bad as your typical "drag pack" suspension. That can't be driven as is though. The rears would need to be rolled. Otherwise the tires would be sliced half way up the sidewall. I wanted to panel flare it, but I'm not going that agressive with the car at all anymore. Years from now I might decide to put FR500s on it, 17x9 in front and 17x10.5 dished in back, so I'd have to widen the rear at that point. To do it right will require trimming some of the convertible trim, widening the taillight mounting panel (structural) to move those outward and a custom widened rear bumper.
So I think I'll stick with the old school hot rod look and roll on some 15x6 steel rims. Those will still tuck in stock trim if I bag it.

^just narrow the axle some....like ur tubbing it....

That's more work that I can't do myself, and doesn't look as nice.

I could also flare it and taper it back down by the time it hits the tails... but that would look awkward...

The bump stops are cut down an inch. I'm back on my D2 springs though, because the rear looks dumb on the FKs, because the front won't match. As is I can go full lock without causing any damage, it rubs ever so slightly.

Because I love the 1993 Cobra Rs... what did you do to get those to fit on a Focus?

Lots...running SPC camber arms and bolts in the rear, both maxed out. Rear fenders are rolled, and pulled well over an inch (and the tire has about 4 mm of clearance). Front has been halfrolled, pulled about 3/4". Running 195/40's front, 205/40's rear on 8.5 inch wheels

That blue/pink one was a bit much for me though.
