Winter/FR '11 Build

Well everything started falling in place yesterday. My mom is going to let me use the car her and my step-dad were given if I do the basic maintenance it needs and pay for insurance. So I now have a winter car, and a heated garage to park/work on mine.

Winter Car: 1994 Subaru Wagon Loyal, Front wheel drive, Button to put it in 4 wheel drive, 5 speed manual!!

Did up the list of winter projects (ish give or take one or two), and should hopefully be parking the car in the next couple weeks.

As always I’m posting this here on FLA, and nowhere else. Sooooo lets keep most of this on the DL. lol

Not that some specifics are going to be given since there are trolls...

So the winter list...

Professional Paint (Courtesy of my friend at Concord Collision):
Interior Door Panels-Black
Door Handles-Body Color
Mirror Caps-Body Color
Shaved Trunk Lid
Re-spray Front Bumper

Paint (small things myself) :
Calipers-Black
Misc Engine bits-Black

Projects/Parts:
Rear Disc Conversion
CAI
Wood Floor Trunk
Interior Carpet-Black
Rear Seats-Black
New Front Seats
Lighting (includes retro fit projectors)
Semi Wire Tuck (Small things on driver’s side where there will be no battery or factory intake)
Suspension (Camber arms, coilovers, rear sway bar)
Fogs (New housings, New Bulbs)
Relocate Battery
Custom Sub box (wrapped in suede)
New Door speakers


Maintenance:
Oil Change
Clean up any rust
Sway bar end links
Front brake Pads & Rotors
Fuel Filter
Wipers
Top off Fluids



Should be all done roughly by the time spring hits. I’m hoping to have the car back on the road by 4-1-11

This is in no way a complete build list for FR '11. There is more to be done after the car comes outta the garage for the winter.

And after this winter when this list is done, I will be able to take This out of my sig >>>> *Car is still recovering from year one* ::facepalm::

It should be pretty sweet once its done, Im looking forward to being able to tear it apart and not have to have it back together the same day so I can get to work.

I ordered my automatic trunk release kit this morning.
So when the trunk lid is shaved of the ford badge and key whole i can still get in.

Since the 08's didnt get a button on the inside to release the trunk

yeah and when your done with yours come shave my trunk

Im going to finnish my car, then if people feel like doing some things that I do on mine, to theirs... Well they can do it themselves with um no help from me cause Im getting no help (in the way of information) from others haha jp

But seriously shaving the trunk is going to be the easy part. Well for me, cause I only have to take it off, take the shit off and bring it to my friend at the body shop lol. Im more worried bout the retrofit projectors and relocating the battery

But I know what you guys are saying, but I will say in person the plaid isnt nearly as over powering as in the pictures.

Like I said, maybe Ill change it out before it get taken out of the garage in spring, I need to rewrapp a couple pieces where the glue didnt stick.

But for now it stays.

Will say I love how main comments are on the plaid, not the floor lmao

Thanks, yea I saw his, made me think I should have used laminate prob would have been easier to work with. Oh well I like the Bamboo hard wood.

Building of the Hardwood Floor

It is Real Bamboo Hardwood flooring, its about .75" think each board nailed to plywood that is sprayed with a rubberized coating to protect it

Last mod until it goes away for the winter, hopefully next week

that flooring looks heavy. and particle board = dont evar get it wet or it will turn to shit.

And yea, Thats why after we cut all the floor boards we pulled them out before we nailed it down and sprayed with a rubberized coating, like you would do under a car/truck bed

SOOO UPDATE!

Finally finished the subaru after replacing ALL BRAKE LINES (replaced one started to bleed the lines the pop another one wwent)

Focus goes away Monday.

Officially getting the Rear disc conversion Stuff from Jason. For a good price, thanks to him and Ken

And As long as noone has bought it since I last talked to Dom.(this afterroon) I am buyin the 5x100 conversion tomorrow.

Buying a set of wheels Saturday and possible another monday for my new lug pattern, going to have 4 sets of 4x108 up for sale soon.

What wheels will be for sale.? I've been looking and just can't find anything that grabs me by the nuts.

Um I have a set of 15x7 Superiors with 2 in polished lip

The Rox that Justin had and I hav now and have been running, Those will be with tires

set of 15x6 stock audi quatro wheels

and a set of ARE's BUT those may go in trade for the wheels SAturday so idk bout that yet. Once I figure it all out pics will be posted and for sale here first of course, cause Im in no mad rush to get rid of them all, just not gonna be any use to me anymore

There are a couple out there. Other than the fact that its stock besides suspension, I like Zingers, and also the one's FSWERKS built.
