Jeremy's "I hope i can get all this crap done before FR11" thread

Figured it was my turn to start a FR11 build thread. I plan on bringing both foci this year but only time will tell. I also plan on picking up a third svtf parts car here shortly (as soon as my dad can be home on the weekend early enough) which will help in a lot of the mods to come. So far, plans are......

SVT-

-redo front bumper (primer is sinking into bumper exposing molding shave spots)

-check coilovers to see if they are blown (may send them out to bilstein)

-sell/trade 225/35/18's for 215/35/18's (rolled fenders before and they cleared but are now rubbing again)

-install stage 4 clutch/lightweight flywheel/LSD

-install boost (have a partial Roush turbo kit ((Jim's old kit)) that just needs oil lines and charge piping)

-get boost tuned

-install rear bumper rebar

ZX3-

-svt motor/trans swap (parts car)

-repair bodywork/get paint job

-install new zx3 front bumper (with some sort of lip), svt rear bumper (parts car), svt spoiler (parts car) and other misc dress up parts

-swap roof panels and install sunroof (parts car), this will be a maybe depending on how different the roof braces are

-coilovers (if budget allows it)

Of course, before any of this starts, i have to finish redoing my garage. Plus i will have a svtf motor build, miata motor build/repair and a few other side jobs while working on my projects. So if i'm not on here much between now and FR11, you'll know why, lol. But i will do my best to take tons of pics and update if anything happens.

I will also have a HUGE for sale thread once parts are swapped and once i start going through and inventorying all the foci parts in my garage.

If you want to get rid of the stock SVT cat from your turbo or parts car I would like it.

I have the factory cat from my svt in the attic. Can't remember how many miles are on it but shouldn't be much. It was replaced with an ORP years ago when i did my exhaust and my car only has 85k on it now. I did reuse the mounting brackets to hold my ORP though, so it'll be just the cat with the bracket that's welded to it. If you need the other brackets that hold it to the block, i'll let you know as soon as i get the parts car.

Small update: i did manage to clean up enough of the garage to finally bring my car back into it. Hopefully shenanigans will start soon.

Another verbal update:

Went to check on the parts car. The manager at the dealership it's sitting at will do some more research and let me know if it's a go or not. *fingers crossed*

But in other news i still plan on doing the turbo on the svt instead. Thinking about putting the stock head, clutch and lsd back in the zx3 to make it a more reliable daily driver. The tune on it sucks and i was gonna reuse the tuner on the svt for the boost. And if things go well with the parts car, it'll get a svt swap anyways, so..........Just tired of it barely getting 200 miles to a tank and stalling out when coming to a stop due to a shitty tune. Plus it has so many mods but yet it's still so much slower then the svt.

Update:

Have a clutchmasters stg 4 clutch and manual boost controller on it's way for the SVT.

Also looked into widening the back side of the 18's since they can't do the front. They said $235 PER WHEEL. So, i'm looking for new wheels if funds are available after the turbo.

Other then that, i plan on finally tearing into her this weekend.

Right now, turbo build is more important. If i have the funds, i'll search for wheels. I wanted to just widen the centerlines but it's gonna cost just as much to do that as it would to find new wheels.

Checked on the svtf parts car today. It's a no go. Corporate still has a hold of it. Guess i need to get another tuner for the svtf now.

Found another tuner for the svtf on craigslist last night. Met up with the guy today. So no more worries about egr stuff on the zx3.

The guy i bought my clutch from still hasn't said if he shipped it or not. Paypal e-check cleared on Feb 24th. Following wed. he finally got back to me and said he'd ship it the next day (a week later after the check cleared). Gave him until friday night and sent him a message asking if he shipped it and could give me a tracking number. No response. Checked his profile everytime i logged onto FJ and he had been on all weekend (including tonight). Still no response, so i made another post in his thread that if i don't hear from him and have proof that he shipped it, i will be making a dispute on paypal and getting my money back.

In other news, the garage is FINALLY cleaned up. Now i have all the room necessary to tear the car down this week. All ready took some pics. Will upload pics when i get more done.

Now the garage is clean time to mess it up.

He finally responded tonight. Said he didn't have my address. That was b.s. as i sent him my address in a pm when i told him i sent the last payment. Now he wants to say i can't get my money back cause i sent a e-check on paypal. That is b.s. as well as on paypals website, it says if i sent a e-check or instant transfer from my account, i will be refunded. So i gave him until 8pm tomorrow night to come through or i am going through paypal to get a refund.

I hate douchebag sellers.

Yep someone tried to screw me, I got the locals to show up at his house and leave love notes on his car from me

He ended up giving the stuff to the locals and they shipped it to me. The AZ crew rocks

Jason has been informed and i've sent him all the pm's between me and Aducarab. According to his tracking number, it should be here on the 14th which will still give me time to make a claim if it comes broken or in worse shape then he stated.

But in other good news, i did get my Ford Racing SVT Torsen today though!
