YET another SVT coming to JAX

I'm flying down to Tampa Saturday morning 1-1-11! To pick up my rare find.. I came across a 2002 Silver SVT with only 28k miles. I'm coming back after a quick stop in Orlando for the night and I'm looking to meet some SVT tuner heads in Jacksonville with-in the first few weeks of January. I've been doing a lot of research online on a few different forums.. but I happened to run across this one yesterday. I've got alot of modifcation plans for the future.

I look forward to my new ownership and I can't wait to tweak and enhance my new toy!

I'm planing on meeting some Jacksonville people on the 22nd.. But driving down to Daytona for a fun filled weekend is a easy YES... So as long as nothing serious comes up to derail that I'll count myself in!

So guys I flew into Tampa New Years Day.. had the sales guy pick me up and take me to my new car..

02' SVT 28k miles.. pristine condition..

I couldn't be more pleased.

I had so much fun driving it on the way home threw Orlando and all the way back to Jacksonville..

1. So what gas does everyone run? 93.. I've put two tanks already since getting home tonight..

2. What kinda mileage do you get to a tank?

I always use 93 octane!

And I usually get 29-31 MPG on the highway, with a record of 37.8

I haven't looked but does the SVT have a fuel filter under the hood or in the gas tank. Do you think it should be changed? assuming it was never replaced on the 02' with 28k miles.

its under the car near the gas tank/rear sub frame/ exhaust tunnel. you need tiny fingers. took me an hour cuz of those stupid fucking clips holding on the lines......................................

So I called CFM and ordered a fuel filter and also the dog bone motor mount inserts.. So J_Train don't get the filter..

Guys I'm excited to say I'm happy to be on a cool forum.. Can't wait till the 22nd meat! and I'm already doing work to my car tonight.. fuel filter and dogbone mount inserts! I'm up too 28,800ish on the 02' SVT now! Woot Woot!

on those inserts, use water to help lube them into the mount. anything oil based will eat the polyurethane.

And be prepared for nastyness comin out of that filter!

Good heads up on the no oil on the poly.. I didn't know that. I'm really looking forward to some rattling cabbin.. I'm hoping to remove the exhaust support bracket thats rusted tonight, it's so annoying!

so your going to do the fuel filter yourself? if so thats cool.
