Not so new to the focus scene

Post by jmdoc66 on 2011-03-17, 11:26 am

I've been posting on the "other" focus websites for a while.
I have a 2003 purple svtf that I use as a daily driver. It used to be my 'track whore' but recently that title has been handed down to a new car.
My focus has 100K miles and I need to drive it for another 50K miles (or until the new focus ST comes out) so it's been retired from autox'ing.

Kind of an older person to own and play with a focus. Everyone I've met that are into focus's are about my Son's age.

I love my little focus. It's comfortable, frugal (MPG), and carves through traffic like no other car I've ever owned. Driving over 100 miles a day here in Tampa, that third attribute saves my sanity.

I live in Port Richey, and travel to Fishhawk monday thru Friday.
I drive the car so much during the week, I generally allow it to 'rest' on the weekends.

When I get home I'll post a picture.

Welcome!

Is your Focus the Mystichrome one?? If so, I met you and was talking to you at the Silver Spring car show two years ago, I'm the kid with the silver SVT from Jacksonville. You had your Saleen on the stage right? Did you ever get your supercharger rebuilt for it?

Glad to see you made it on here, hopefully we'll see you at the Daytona Beach meet?

Good to hear from you.
I haven't done anything to the Saleen yet besides letting it sit.

Yes I still have the mystic chrome focus, but the sun is killing the paint. It's really oxidized.
Hopefully I'll get it painted it's original color (black) before summer.

A little to busy at home to make it to Daytona. Though I'd love to be there.
