...I'm stuck in my driveway because of one stupid bolt. Details here:

I'm off today and all day tomorrow, so if anyone wants to lend a hand, I would greatly appreciate it. I imagine this is probably something a torch or air rachet would make short work of.

Thanks for the replies. I've tried raising the drum a little, and it hasn't made a difference yet. When I wedge a flathead screwdriver under the head of the bolt, and twist the screwdriver as I turn the bolt, I can get about a 1-1.5mm separation of the head from the bracket, but that's it.

I have threaded the nut on, placed a socket with small extension on it, and beat on it with a hammer, but it hasn't done anything.

Got a mini sledge?

Looks like you need to beat the ISH out of the threaded end. Heat would help a lot too if someone could bring you a torch.

There's really no room for a bigger hammer. Sad

I was hoping someone in the area would have a torch. I've got another hour or so of day light, and then I'm going to have to give up for the day. I'm frustrated enough as it is - I don't want to be trying this by flashlight.

Have you tried to extend your ratchet with a longer pipe? That might work out.

Yeah, I used the handle of my jack as an an extension, but the bolt spins fine - it just won't work it's way out as it spins.

Try heating it while doing that.
